
Director of Operations
Mike Bourdo is the Director of Operations here at Praxis. He brings over twenty years of progressive management experience including manufacturing management and corporate planning to the Senior Management Team. His responsibilities involve the oversight and direction of day-to-day production operations for both Grand Rapids and Columbus, including Shipping and Receiving and Maintenance departments. Additionally, Mike ensures only the highest quality standards and compliance with procedures and government regulations.
Some of Mike’s more recent experience includes various roles within food manufacturing facilities, such as Vice President of Supply Chain for Fresh Food Concepts, Plant Manager for Bay Valley Foods, and prior to joining Praxis, some project work as the Interim Director of Operations for Future Food Brands.
In each of these roles, Mike made significant improvements to overall operations, facility infrastructure, line functionality, product quality, and safety, resulting in substantial cost savings and reduction of customer complaints.
Mike holds a BS in Biological Sciences from Michigan Technological University.

Vice President of Quality
Anne has been Vice President of Quality and a key member of the Praxis management team since 2006. She brings over 16 years experience in pharmaceutical quality assurance and over 30 years in the area of quality assurance at the management level to the company.
During her career, Anne has designed and implemented document control programs for two start-up companies, hosted the FDA and EMA during numerous routine inspections, implemented a Safe Quality Food (SQF) program, and designed GMP Defect Awareness and Safety training programs. Anne is experienced in interpreting pharmaceutical quality systems to meet federal (FDA, DEA) regulations.
Anne’s career in quality began with Johnson & Johnson and from there she moved on to hold quality roles at companies such as Pfizer, Ranir, and Inrad.
Anne has a Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University.

Plant Manager
Bryan Van Dyke is currently the Plant Manager and point of contact for operations at our Columbus, Ohio, satellite facility. He began with Praxis in 2006 in Production and has held various other positions within the company including Customer Service and Warehouse Departments.
In 2008, when Praxis expanded into our additional site in Columbus, Bryan was selected to help lead the team and development process. Since then, we’ve gone through four expansions and increased Production space from 6,000 square foot facility to a 36,400 square foot facility with four production lines. On any given day, Bryan is responsible for managing up to 60 trained CGMP employees and up to four production lines.
Bryan holds a Bachelors in Business from Northwood University, and enjoys watching football and spending time with his wife and son.

Marketing Communications and Media Relations Representative
Mia Goeddeke is the Marketing Communications and Media Relations Representative at Praxis. She is responsible for fulfilling the Praxis vision “to be recognized” and works directly with the Sales, Business Development, and Customer Service teams to develop strategies and programs to support customer and company growth.
Some of Mia’s main functions are to maintain working relationships with relevant industry media contacts, prepare and distribute all Praxis news, develop and execute print and electronic marketing campaigns, maintain the company website, as well as organize Praxis events.
She brings relevant knowledge of both the health and pharmaceutical industries to corporate positioning and promotions by monitoring trends in our industry, customer news, regulatory developments and new technologies.
Mia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health Communications from Grand Valley State University. She is also the board for the West Michigan Chapter of the Institute of Packaging Professionals and member of Grand Rapids Young Professionals (GRYP).

Business Development Manager
Sarah Faison celebrated her tenth year with Praxis in the summer of 2012. She has held many different positions during her years of service including: Production Line Leader, Customer Service, and her most recent position as a Sales Representative.
Beginning January 2013, Sarah will be starting a new position as Business Development Manager. This key role will include working with Sales, Customer Service, and Marketing in all phases of project and program development, and developing and targeting new opportunities. This will require interaction and coordination with customers, outside vendors and suppliers as well as all groups within Praxis.
Sarah and her husband and eleven year old daughter welcomed the birth of a baby boy in October. Sarah is pursuing a Psychology degree at Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids. When she is not working, caring for her family or in school, Sarah enjoys going to concerts and outdoor activities.

Customer Relations Manager
Marnie Nester joined Praxis Packaging in the Fall of 2007 in the Human Resources Department. With her passion for employee relations and servicing the company, she eventually moved into Customer Service as an Account Manager, which allowed opportunity for growth and development with all of our key customers.
Marnie now holds the Customer Relations Manager position at Praxis where she interacts with our entire customer base in both locations, serving an inside sales role for Praxis “house” accounts as well as ensuring customer satisfaction through direct contact and relationship building with our customers.
Her position directly supports Sales, Business Development, Customer Service, and works with Marketing to host tours and run customer events.
She holds an Associate in Business from the Central Michigan University College of Business Administration.

Human Resources Manager
Shannon VanNoy joined Praxis Packaging in March of 2012 as the Human Resources Manager. In this role, Shannon provides leadership, support and guidance for both the Grand Rapids, Michigan, and the Columbus, Ohio, locations. Her progressive generalist experience allows for support across all areas of Human Resources for Praxis: employee relations, change management, recruiting, payroll, and benefits. Shannon’s 15 years of diverse Human Resources experience includes over seven years in manufacturing and five years in banking. She holds a BBA in Human Resource Management and is certified Senior Professional of Human Resources.

Controller
Tim Harms is the Controller for Sixarp, LLC – Praxis. In this role, he oversees company-wide accounting and financial reporting, as well as overseeing the Human Resources and Information Technology departments.
Tim has been with Praxis since July of 2011 and brings 22 years of manufacturing and three years public accounting experience.
Prior to joining Praxis, Tim’s background of manufacturing was with Display Pack, A-Pac Manufacturing, Kalfact Plastics, and Paulstra CRC, and has served in various capacities including Plant Manager and as Corporate Controller. Tim started his professional career with Anderson, Tuckey, Bernhardt, PC in 1987, leaving in 1990 to enter into private manufacturing.
He holds a Bachelors from Illinois College (IL).
