Praxis is the national packaging and launch site for many store-brand OTC programs.
Size, flexibility, and the ability to “staff up” were keys to this successful launch.
To execute this project, which managed over 200 inbound and 300 outbound trailers, and 10,000 pallets holding 120,000 finished displays, Praxis dedicated over 50,000 square feet of warehousing space, six dock doors, 40 days of non-stop 24-hour production, and the same commitment to flawless execution and superior quality that has built our reputation in the marketplace.
The result: We built displays with 55 finished SKUs for over 15 different customer brands, and hit 100% delivery and completion of orders.

Testifying to the idea of flexibility, this project was the exact opposite of the turn-and-burn nature of some other case studies. Praxis spent a year on market research and planning for the development of this final package. Working with the customer and ad agencies we designed a kit that consisted of six key steps:
1. Slit blister strips containing the drug
2. Package single blister strips into a carton
3. Package carton into a bag
4. Bag into a sleeve
5. Shrink wrap
6. Pack into display unit
In the end, 19 items, including seven unique print pieces, made their way into the final package. To streamline the operation, Praxis procured materials for this project from a variety of approved vendors and managed all inventory.
We included it in the case studies, not because of notable run size or turn-around time, but because it represents a growing movement where companies trust us to develop solutions that anticipate their customers’ experiences. For example, the package required a paper backing, not a “push through” foil backing feature. In addition, to spare the customer frustration, we designed a simple die cut that made the product a great deal easier for people to use (click to see video).
The result: A thoughtful, unwavering solution that suited our client and satisfied their customers.

When this client called us needing 357,000 new Patient Starter Kits in addition to two batches of product in four weeks, we told them we could do it. We developed a plan, assigned teams, configured a production area, set up machines, and got to work.
The result: We made more than deadlines; our client made their launch schedule. We have trained ourselves to hit these kinds of deadlines, to do it without compromising quality, and to treat these projects as the norm.

BIG NUMBERS | SMALL TIME FRAME
This is a drug with a large target audience. According to the National Institutes of Health, Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS) is a condition that affects more than five million adults and one milltion school-aged children in the United States.
From the beginning there was a true sense of urgency that accompanied a fairly involved project. This was not just a case of repacking, or building displays; this client needed Praxis to work directly with their ad agency to conceptualize, design, and execute a solution that cut blister strips in half (click to see video), and build and assemble a patient starter kit that included:
We moved quickly, transforming a rough sketch of a solution into full color Kodak proofs within 24 hours.
The project required 350,000 completed packages with nine unique product lots and a six-day turnaround.
It also required 492,000 stand-alone cartons for three dosage strengths and an additional 275,000 kits to be completed after launch.
The result: A total of 1,583,000 kits delivered succesfully over the next seven months. Plus, Praxis served as the launch site for 1,748,275 stand-alone cartons after the initial launch. This was a challenge and we are proud of the way we served our client on every level from beginning to end.

This customer came to us looking for an opportunity to utilize current inventory through relabeling and remerchandising. Not only did we fulfill and manage all incoming product and components, but we helped a customer maximize the use of current inventory items.
With little time to plan and minimal investment, we built a custom fabricated, semi-automatic cartoner with gluing fixtures to accommodate multiple sleeve sizes. We managed and produced two different sleeves with several unique batch numbers.
The result: In just over a month, we turned around more than 300,000 finished units, met all deadlines, and provided the customer an additional revenue stream.
