Summary
To address a 60-year gap in stroke prevention and pharmaceutical innovation, our client prepared to launch a first-to-market prescription drug and required support for timely market entry. Praxis accelerated the launch of a multi-stage process including inspection of blistered product, bottle labeling, and cartoning. The bottle and blister strip production lines both maintained 24/7 quality control, production and logistics support which in turn helped to recover time lost by delayed deliveries to our facility.
Objective
Help one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies launch a groundbreaking drug, requiring over one million finished cartons with two blister strips each. Plus the labeling and cartoning of over 170,000 bottles, all within a critical launch deadline.
SOLUTIONS
Manual Inspection
Praxis manually inspected 2 million blister strips for quality, ensuring each strip met client’s standards for both product and blister strip prior to being placed in the final cartons.
Custom Solution
To ensure customer expectations in quality and turnaround, Praxis developed a custom cartoning solution for the client’s product, resulting in over 100 cartons per minute.
Bottle Labeling
In addition to the one million blister strip cartons, Praxis configured a production line to produce 170,000 bottles labeled and cartoned within the same timeline.
Conclusion
As a pharmaceutical packaging solution provider, Praxis, demonstrates a deep understanding of the critical need for quick turnaround times in the industry. With our scheduling flexibility, this drug manufacturer was able to rely on Praxis during an urgent, time-sensitive project. Praxis accelerated the process by collaborating closely with the client to develop a custom cartoning solution that achieved over 100 cartons per minute. Within just two weeks, Praxis successfully produced over one million cartons, surpassing the client’s launch date expectations. The resulting product became a leading therapy for atrial fibrillation, driving blockbuster sales for the client.
