Serialization – Raising the Bar
The DSCSA, which requires that manufacturers label product packaging with a product identifier, serial number, lot number, and expiration date by November 2017, is a major advancement in deterring the counterfeiting of prescription pharmaceuticals. In the future, end users will be able to trace the product movement throughout the entire manufacturing, packaging and shipping processes.
At Praxis, our commitment to providing the highest quality packaging is never-ending. Contact us today to discuss your contract / secondary serialized packaging needs!
As a serialization-ready Contract Packaging Organization (CPO), Praxis ensures that product quality and consumer safety are at the forefront of everything we do. Through partnerships with companies like Systech International, VideoJet, Quadrel Labeling Systems, Multifeeder Technology and Ferox Consulting, we pursued and quickly achieved compliance with e-pedigree and track & trace legislation, the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA), months before the deadline and ahead of our competition. We invested significant resources to implement the best project management strategies and to acquire and implement the right production line and information technology infrastructure systems and software, to ensure we were ready when our customers were.
We are now capable of providing the highest levels of product control and tracking throughout our part of the supply chain. From our receipt of incoming product until the time we ship the finished goods, key event information related to specific lots or batches of drugs is communicated between Praxis and the other supply chain partners using Electronic Product Code Information Services (EPCIS).
